Semlex Strengthens Its Cybersecurity Expertise
11 August 2026
Semlex Ivory Coast continues to strengthen its governance, regulatory compliance, and information systems security framework.
On 29 July 2026, Mr Anicet ETIN, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Personal Data Protection Correspondent at Semlex Ivory Coast, received his certification as an Expert Auditor of the General Information Systems Security Framework (RGSSI), issued by Ivory Coast’s National Information Systems Security Agency (ANSSI).
The certificate was presented to him in Abidjan-Plateau during an official ceremony organised by ANSSI Ivory Coast. A total of 88 professionals received their RGSSI auditor certification on this occasion.
This certification comes just over a year after Semlex Ivory Coast received its first major regulatory recognition.
Indeed, on 17 June 2025, during the third edition of the Personal Data Protection Forum, Semlex Ivory Coast officially presented its certificate of compliance with Law No. 2013-450 of 19 June 2013 on the Protection of Personal Data, issued by Ivory Coast’s Telecommunications/ICT Regulatory Authority (ARTCI), in its capacity as the country’s data protection authority.
This recognition made Semlex Ivory Coast the first company in the biometric and secure identity document production sector to obtain this certification.
The compliance process, initiated in March 2019, notably involved staff training, data processing mapping, process audits, the implementation of security measures, the preparation of regulatory documentation, and a final audit conducted by ARTCI in November 2024.
Semlex Ivory Coast Aims to Be a Driving Force for RGSSI Compliance
Following this first milestone focused on personal data protection, Semlex Ivory Coast now intends to build on this momentum and play a leading role in promoting compliance with ANSSI Ivory Coast’s General Information Systems Security Framework (RGSSI).
The RGSSI Expert Auditor certification obtained by its CISO strengthens the company’s internal capabilities to:
- assess the compliance of its information systems with RGSSI requirements;
- identify security gaps and risks;
- define and oversee corrective action plans;
- integrate national cybersecurity requirements into its projects and processes;
- raise awareness among employees, partners, and clients regarding RGSSI requirements;
- promote this essential Ivorian regulatory framework for sectors handling sensitive data and operating critical infrastructure.
For Semlex Ivory Coast, compliance is not merely a regulatory obligation. It is also a key driver of trust, operational resilience, and the long-term protection of data and information systems.
A Major Regulatory Framework for the Digital Identity Sector
Given its activities in biometric identity, secure document production, and the processing of sensitive data, Semlex Ivory Coast places particular importance on compliance with Ivory Coast’s regulatory framework.
In this context, the RGSSI serves as a strategic framework for the governance, protection, and resilience of information systems.
Semlex Ivory Coast therefore intends to contribute to greater awareness of this regulatory framework and encourage its adoption by companies, institutions, and stakeholders operating in sensitive sectors.
“Following the award, on 19 June 2025, of the certificate of compliance with Law No. 2013-450 on the Protection of Personal Data, this RGSSI Expert Auditor certification, received on 29 July 2026, marks another milestone in our journey. Our ambition is to make Semlex Ivory Coast a driving force for RGSSI compliance and to contribute to promoting this essential Ivorian regulatory framework for our sector.”

Through these various recognitions, Semlex Ivory Coast reaffirms its commitment to data protection, cybersecurity, and the development of a trusted digital environment in Ivory Coast.
